-GREAT things will happen to me in 2007-

2006 has been a very meaningful and eventful year...

10 FIRSTS in 2006 worth remembering:

  • first attempt at go-karting with my UOB buddies in August (taking me more than 5 months to get rid of an uneven tan)
  • first trip to Shanghai with the 3 thunderbolts
  • first time i made a silly boo boo of deleting all my photos (cried so long!)
  • first proper digicam i bot
  • first time visiting a psychatrist
  • first time taking an airplane on my own
  • first time staying in hotel in Europe on my own
  • first time traveling on my own
  • first time i can come to terms with my stress level and manage it properly
  • first time i rebonded my hair

My new year resolutionS (with the capital S)

  • shed 3 kilos by March 2007
  • leave the office by 7pm everyday (if not 6.15pm) - it's my boss's and secretary's resolutions too!
  • be punctual at all appointments, big or small
  • to keep my close friends updated on my life
  • spend more time with my family

What I look forward to in 2007

~SHANGHAI NIGHT~

Finally, the DnD is over! No more lunch time dance practices!! Haven't eaten properly the past 2 weeks, always buzzing around, trying costumes, going for dance practices and yeah... it's oveR!

Had my company's DnD last night. The door gift was FANTASTIC! It was a pocket watch - very nice cover, going very well with the Shanghai Night theme..

Was dressed up in 2 cheong sams - one rented from costume shop for dance and one borrowed from yiming's sister.

Mei Gui Mei Gui Wo Ai Ni was our dance song and Wo Yao Ni was the finale song! So last minute, we only learnt the finale steps yesterday evening itself!

Here's a peek at the dance! 6 of us represented the commercial bank. That's me with the red ribbons, 3rd from the left!

I cut my hair at QB house for the first time today. Was at IMM having lunch with my parents then they went to lim kopi at the kopitiam, and next to it was the newly opened QB house!

Have never ventured into one before, and am always curious who would cut their hair at QB house! Thinking my hair was messy and out of shape, I tot spending $10 for a trim was worth a try and quite safe also coz trim only.

Was quite an experience!

Step 1: Go to the ticketing machine and slot $10

Step 2: Take the card that is dispensed from the machine

Step 3: Take a seat (I was the only customer in the shop - felt like an alien)

Step 4: Stylist comes over and makes small talk and starts snipping away

Step 5: Curious Sarah asks whether it will be done in ten minutes. Was looking around for a timer of some sorts.. like you-know, in Mac's if they dun serve you within the hour glass timing, they give you a free apple pie or smethg

Turns out the 10min thingy was not true - the stylist was telling me that in the past it really used to be 10min, but too many customers complained that the job was not well executed and slipshot so they decided to do away with the 10min thing but $10 charge still applies.

Step 6: Once hair cut is over, out comes a mini vacuum cleaner! to suck off all the small hairs on your shirt, at the back of the neck and also the head in general

Step 7: Comb comb comb with a white plastic comb and once done and ready to go, off the comb goes into the bin - each comb is only used once for 'hygiene purpose' and they also have a white hair brush which is stored in smethg that looked like a toaster - it's a hair brush sanitizer. gosh.

Finito..Off I go... and got a free QB hair cut the next time I go back coz the 1st 50 customers can enjoy this perk (and it so happened I was lucky number 50!)

Verdict: It is ok for a trim! Lemme know if you wanna try k! The voucher will expire on Dec 18th!
